For those of you looking for a way to donate, Bright Funds has put together a COVID-19 Response Fund, comprised of pre-vetted nonprofits based in the United States providing emergency response around the world and in the US focusing on childhood nutrition and supporting healthcare workers. This is just one way you can easily donate and support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. You can also select other non-profits through the Bright Funds platform, and even create your own Fund with organizations of your choice.

This year has been challenging for so many, but we can all come together to help put food on the table for families.

The COVID-19 crisis has brought about so many challenges to our world. One that is extremely important to address is hungry children. For many, schools remain closed, parents are out of work and millions of children have lost their access to the only food they may receive on a daily basis. The World Food Programme (WFP) estimates that at least 310 million children are fed at school. That is a staggering amount of children who are hungry and are in dire need of support. As we enter a new phase of the virus and head into the winter months, this crisis will only get worse. No kid should ever go hungry. So, how do we help? Act Now! A contribution to this fund is evenly distributed between the following non profit organizations & matched by Cisco.

Help us make an impact beyond the table. Millions of kids are living with hunger right now. We can change that by supporting these organizations focused on helping to end childhood hunger in our local community and beyond.

The South Central Closers are raising money for No Kid Hungry. Your donation to No Kid Hungry will help feed hungry kids in America! No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world.

Our team has chosen these funds that contribute in unique and meaningful ways to better communities and the lives of those around us. This is part of our FY23 Northeast SE team building and community give back initiative.

As we approach the holiday season, we have an opportunity to reflect on how we can give back to our communities. CORE HR is excited to host a virtual donation campaign to support one of FORgood’s three chosen pillars of giving – food security. This initiative aims to eliminate hunger, support sustainable agricultural practices, and ensure that every community member has access to nutritious and consistent food sources through several partner charities, including Rise Against Hunger, World Food Program USA, No Kid Hungry, Meals on Wheels, Heifer International, and Action Against Hunger.

The End Hunger Fund focuses on addressing food insecurity – a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. This fund is comprised of three national charities – FEEDING AMERICA, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization; NO KID HUNGRY, dedicated to eradicating child hunger through schools breakfast, as well as afterschool and summer meals for kids; and MEALS ON WHEELS AMERICA dedicated to serving the more than 10 million vulnerable seniors across the country. Bringing this issue home, also included is THE GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK, providing meals to people in the communities that many of us live in. An epidemic in its own right according to some, the economic impact of COVID-19 has made the situation even more dire, millions of Americans are out of work, and hunger, one of our nation’s most urgent problems, has grown even worse.
