The Cisco Foundation works closely with the non-profits in this Fund to help the most vulnerable in our global communities. Note on Tax Deductibility: This fund may include organizations based in the US, and in other countries. US employees who make a credit card donation will receive a receipt for tax deductibility for the portion of the donation contributed to US organizations. Employees outside the US will not be able to receive a receipt for tax deductibility for credit card donations to organizations in this fund.

Destination: Home is a public-private partnership aimed at ending homelessness in Santa Clara County. Cisco has made a five-year commitment to support Destination: Home’s efforts to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. Our efforts will include a focus on supportive and transitional housing, homeless prevention strategies, and on how IT can help create operational efficiencies, increase data-sharing to enhance decision-making, track outcomes, and increase capacity and comfort of those using technology to assist these vulnerable populations. Employee donations to this fund will be matched by the Cisco Foundation up to $25,000 per employee as part of your annual matching limit. Together we can make a difference to help individuals and families who are at risk, or are homeless, in Santa Clara County.

Homelessness is a rapidly growing global crisis. Climate change, systemic racism and economic inequality are just a few factors exacerbating this displacement around the world. While this issue is daunting, great work is being done to house those affected and end the damage of this humanitarian crisis. This fund is supporting six organizations whose aim is to provide supportive and permanent housing for those affected by this pervasive issue. All contributions of $1 or more will be matched by the Cisco Foundation as part of your annual $25,000 employee match.

The W.H.O. has declared COVID-19 a pandemic and public health emergency of international concern. We recognize that each community will have their own set of unique challenges in light of the Coronavirus. Bright Funds Foundation has established the 2020 Bay Area Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund to address the specific needs of the Bay Area community. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. Given the ever-changing nature of this pandemic and widespread impact, the composition of the nonprofits in this Fund will evolve.

Tech4Good is a bridge to possible, connecting Cisco technical expertise with deserving non-profit organizations. Our pilot program is focused on providing support to non-profits serving unhoused populations across the Americas. With access to Cisco products and solutions, these organizations now have sustainable technology in place to optimize their operations and deliver on their mission to eradicate homelessness.

Still reeling from storms on New Year’s Eve, California has continued to face additional rounds of severe storms as a result of multiple atmospheric rivers forming off the US west coast. Record-breaking heavy precipitation and strong winds have caused severe flooding and power outages, and damaged homes, businesses and infrastructure. At least 18 deaths have been blamed on the storms; Millions of Californians remain under flood watches, and thousands of people across multiple counties have been ordered to evacuate their homes. Cisco Foundation has launched a $25K California Flooding disaster campaign campaign which will support American Red Cross, Destination: Home, and World Central Kitchen. Employee gifts up to $10,000 will be matched and will not count against your annual $25K match allowance.
